Mam Tor and The Great Ridge In Winter

Mam Tor and The Great Ridge In Winter

Towering above Castleton and Hope is Mam Tor and the Great Ridge consisting of (from roughly West to East) Rushup edge, Mam Tor, Hollins Cross, Back Tor and Lose Hill. This unmissable feature always looks imposing but in snow it takes on a different quality that we’ve tried to capture here with a few images. From the ridge you can also see Winnats Pass, best viewed from above at this time of year as, because of the sun’s low track in the sky its steep sides are often in shadow.

Remember that these images of The Great Ridge, as with all of our images are available to buy. You can contact us via enquiries@peakedinterest.co.uk to have them turned into prints to brighten up your home of to give as gifts.
