A Quick Walk by The River Derwent

A Quick Walk by The River Derwent

Living near the River Derwent means we are a) very lucky and b) often walk by the river in the evenings if we’re unable to get out for one of our longer walks in the Derbyshire Peak District. Just a hundred or so meters from our front door the tree-lined banks make an ideal place to keep up our fitness in one of the most beautiful parts of the British countryside without even getting into a car.

Even in the small stretch we walk there is a huge variety of wildlife and historic buildings. There’s a conservation area, farmland and if we’re feeling thirsty, a pub or two. What’s not to like?

Anyway here are a few images from our latest stroll along the River Derwent.
