Haddon Hall is one of those places that we’ve somewhat neglected to visit in preference to it’s bigger and better known neighbour, Chatsworth House. However it is beautiful and historic so well worth a visit. So yesterday that’s what we did, spent a few hours having a look round the ancestral home of the Manners and the Vernons.
Its history stretched back over 800 years and its ownership is entwined with the local families and history of the Peak District. There’s more about the place here for now. I’ll write a more in-depth piece later but for now, it’s getting late in the evening and so I’ll leave you with these images to enjoy.
