Grindleford and Froggatt Wood

Grindleford and Froggatt Wood

The section of the Derwent Valley occupied by the villages of Grindleford and Froggatt is a popular route for walkers. Grindleford has a community shop that also serves refreshments and the path in the valley bottom never strays far from the River Derwent as it winds through the lush farmland and forest in the valley bottom.

From the path you can easily walk to Froggatt Edge, Eyam, Hathersage or further to Hassop, Baslow and Calver.

here are a few images from a recent walk, with no apologies for the number of pictures of lambs!
